The Spin - September 2019
You may have noticed we skipped a beat, meaning we didn’t post an August update on the blog. Reason being is that August is usually a slow month, and we decided to take this time to concentrate on ourselves. Motorcycling through South Dakota and Wyoming, and deep-sea fishing off the coast of North Carolina allowed us to reset, re-energize, and get ready for the fall season.

Styled Shoot
Before we dropped everything and took off, we were invited to be a part of a styled shoot for a brand-new wedding and event venue in Cary, NC. Chandelier, owned and operated by our good friends John and Natasha Ford, who also happen to be well known in the catering business as Ford’s Fluent n’ Food, were preparing to launch their new business venture and arranged for a promotional demo shoot of the premise with preferred vendors. Setting up as if it was an authentic event, everything on display was on par with an actual wedding.

From Chef John’s authentic style of serving some of the area’s best entrees to cakes and desserts, fresh floral arrangements, place settings, formal wear, bridal wear, photography, videography, photo booth, limousines, and of course the best DJ company on the planet (maybe a stretch, but we’ll go with it), we all did what we do, but at the pace of the photographers and videographers versus a wedding timeline.
We had a great time working with a fantastic group of professionals, and our hats off to John and Natasha for quite literally living the dream. If persistence equates to success, Chandelier will be around for a long time.

Wedding Bliss at the Brick & Mortar
The quaint little town of Clayton has a hidden gem of an event venue called the Brick and Mortar. We had the honor of playing here for the wedding of the daughter of a couple we've known for years - the Daniel family. We brought both the DJ and photo booth set ups to this one, and pictures it took were awesome!

In addition to all of the 'selfies' being taken, the reception itself was lively. Being a small wedding you can let your hair down and really party with the IN crowd, and that they did.

Congrats to the Daniel-Powell family. With many of the guests traveling great distance to have the opportunity to see these two families become one, they certainly were not disappointed.

Summer Wedding with a Flair
We ventured to The Oaks at Salem for an outdoor ceremony and reception. Just so happens the weather was beautiful! Blues skies, sun... and more sun... and no clouds. Did I mention the temps in the 90's?
During the ceremony I was literally the only one in the shade. I was beginning to think shoes, or anything 'projectilish' would be thrown my way but everyone kept their cool (pun intended) and the couple presented a beautiful ceremony. The tent provided for shade reception, and despite it being really hot, the crowd enjoyed themselves, especially when a special guest showed up!
One of NC State's mascots - Mrs. Wuf - made an appearance! How cool is that! Great food, family and friends took this one into the evening with dancing for all!
